Dior, one of the most famous women's dressmakers, was born on January 21, 1905 in Granville and died on October 24, 1957 in Italy.

In 1957, Dior died by heart attack. But before this happened, he was the only French tailor who was able to go in Time magazine title. After Dior's death, his senior assistant, a talented 21-year-old designer named Yves Saint Laurent, took over the company.

Between 1967 and 1975, Dior grew significantly and the first baby Dior store was opened in Paris, and Christian Dior male products were also successfully established. Stores were opened in London, New York and Hong Kong.

Maria Grazia Chiuri became the first female leader of the Dior brand in 2016 and is still holding this position.
